In Part 5 of my Walker Turner 1165 restoration series, I’m taking you deep inside the saw’s internal workings. This episode focuses on the reassembly of the cast iron base, table, trunnions, and all the other crucial components that make this vintage saw tick. Join me as I share the challenges and triumphs of bringing this classic machine back to life.

This part of the restoration presented some unique challenges. Getting all these internal components to align perfectly required patience and attention to detail. I wanted to share my process and the little tricks I used to overcome each obstacle. I am looking forward to the next step, restoring the motor and getting it installed. Maybe we’ll even get to see it run!
