Refurbishing a Rockwell/Delta Overarm Pin Router

Before I had a CNC router I had bought a Duro overarm pin router, manufactured around the 1940s. Duro’s overarm router/shaper division later went on to be acquired by Rockwell Manufacturing in 1968. The later model Rockwell manufactured machines had some distinct advantages, specifically a mechanical adjustment for raising and lowering the head for setting the depth of cut.

After using my Duro pin router for a while, I decided I wanted to “upgrade” to a Rockwell/Delta model. I found one through OWWM.org, and it eventually worked its way out here to me. I went through rebuilding and cleaning up this Rockwell machine, and then sold off my Duro. I’ve been happy with the machine since I got it back in to service, and have since acquired a second motor, so I won’t have to remove and swap it around all the time to put it under the table.

Alright, enough of the back story, here’s the video of the rebuild process

Anyway, thanks for checking it out!
