Walker Turner 1165 Table Saw Restoration – Part 1

The first table saw(s) I picked up were some Walker Turner 1180B model saws, manufactured in the early and mid 1940s. I’ve been using at least one of them for the past 8 years or so, and have been pretty happy with it. However, the draw of these Walker Turner 1165 models was strong. I love the art deco styling on the cast iron base of it, mainly.

So getting caught up to 2023, I eventually found myself with two of the model 1165 saws, and beginning to do a full tear down, repaint, and restoration on both of them. Here begins the journey of one of those saws, where I disassemble the saw and run through all the parts and mechanisms at a mostly high level.

Anyway, thanks for checking it out!
