IBM PC-AT Reborn – Emptying the Box

In this entry I’m getting the old hardware out of the case, and cutting out the pieces I wouldn’t be using with the new hardware.

Building a rear support frame and putting a new rear panel on the case

IBM PC-AT Reborn – Installing Fans

Getting some fans installed in the case, a bunch of 60mm fans in the back and a pair of 120mm fans in the front. Also mounted up the power switch

Gutting a broken original CRT monitor and replacing the internals with an LCD screen

Getting some cables sleeved to tidy up the appearance, and doing a test fit of some spare hardware.

Finally kicked over the finish line, the IBM PC-AT case mod has been painted and assembled!
