The second part of my 1165 restoration project sees the finished disassembly and sandblasting prep, along with the table top cleaning
The restoration project progressed with parts returning from sandblasting and being meticulously prepped, primed, and painted. Ideal September weather allowed for efficient ventilation of the shop so parts could be painted, with two coats applied to all components. Despite initial delays, the project is ahead of anticipated schedule, hopefully enabling a timely assembly in the near future.
The restoration of the Walker Turner 1165 saws focuses on safety through modifications to the table and blade lifting mechanism, including the addition of an aftermarket splitter and blade guard. Key steps involved determining bracket placement, drilling holes, and making necessary adjustments, preparing for final reassembly.
